Communication

As a driving force behind creating communication touch-points, documentation, and resources both internally and externally, I became known as a word smith and my writing became the unofficial voice of the creative department at Logical Position.

Sharepoint | Intranet

SharePoint was an underutilized resource at my last company. As soon as I learned that it was built into our Microsoft 365 package, I adopted it for the purpose of creating and sharing communication and team sites on our company intranet. I created, developed resources for, and curated two sites for our creative department.

I encouraged others to take advantage of SharePoint as well and showed them how to create and organize content in that space. This resulted in a new era of communication, connection and resource sharing at the company. I’m proud to have helped empower other leaders in this way.

Teams | Chat

When our last company transitioned into a predominantly remote environment in 2020, I created a series of channels where people could share content that was both professional and personal. And then I made it my personal mission to bring our engagement to a new level by:

  • Posting semi-weekly question prompts for people to engage with in our general channel

  • Asking all of our leaders to regularly post employee recognition in our shoutouts channel

  • Consistently posting articles and videos in our inspiration channel

  • And encouraging all of our new hires to be courageous and show up in channels that align with their interests

Newsletter | email

Each month, I would write for our internal newsletter on behalf of our creative leadership team.

My outline

  • Greetings and thoughts
I enjoyed this opportunity to connect with our audience and set the tone

  • Updates & Changes
A critical part of our change management strategy was communication, we provided updates and made employees aware of minor changes in this location in-between milestones that we discussed at meetings

  • Recognition for high performers
We would choose three high performers each month and award them with a half day off - a recognition program that I started in 2024

Bree is great at engaging with others in thought-provoking conversation — she uses Teams to engage with the department by posting articles, resources, and questions to get conversations flowing. She finds every opportunity to help people see a new way of thinking, a new way of working, to help them continue to improve their career.
